Newgrange:

They believe that Newgrange was a place to house the dead. There are hundreds of mounds/tombs in this particular area, but none like the one that we went to.

I don't have a picture of it from far away, so you should def. google it, just to see the amazing construction of it...

This is the front of Newgrange. The stairs are recent, as they needed a way to get the tourists inside without having to climb over the rocks... The white granite, they believe that thats how it used to look. The roof is covered with grass. It was a few tons of dirt on top of it. When they found it, it was completley grown over and the walls were collapsed a bit, but they have reconstructed it to the best of their knowledge. The black rock, that is not original. It is just carved out to make room for the stairs.

Anyway. We went inside, down this long tomb, and it was amazing. The construction of the roof... wow. It has not leaked since it was built, which was like, 3100 - 2900 BC!!!

The coolest part of Newgrange...The front of it, is aligned with the winter solstice. So when the sun comes up, light shines down the hall way leading into the open cavity that we were in. I can't quite remember how long it stays lite, but I belive it was for something like 14 minutes. How COOL is that?!

For some reason, the place where you write your blog won't load for me. I had to change my post setting from 'updated editor' to 'old editor'. AKA: post one picture at a time and wait 34987324876 minutes for it to upload... awesome. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? It took me FOREVER just to figure out how to get on this 'old editor' setting... so, sorry for the wait. Now to Ireland...!

My parents and I went to the Clifff of Moher. I've always wanted to go there. IT. WAS. BEAUTIFUL!!

*My Mommy and Daddy :) *

*My Mom sorta doesn't like this picture.... okok. She likes the picture, but she doesn't like where I was to TAKE the picture. I wanted to walk on the edge of the cliff. But there was a sign, and in big bold letters it said, "FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, DO NOT GO BEYOND THIS SIGN!" So what did my Dad and I do? We went beyond the sign... I didn't get to go very far though, as my Mom was FREAKING out the WhOlE entire time*

*I was VERY excited to be at the Cliffs of Moher, because it is full of Puffins and Gannets. If you don't know what a Gannet is, check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gannet
They SWOOOOOP down and dive in the Ocean to fish. It is THE COOLEST thing. Ever.
This rock is at the tip of one of the Cliffs. You can't really tell from the picture, but it is FULL of Puffins. They were soooo loud. I think they were having a party. A party that lasts 24/7. I think if they were college students, they would be red tagges; every night*

Well. That is it for the Cliffs of Moher.
I really wanted to go to the Giants Causeway: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant's_Causeway
But we didn't have enough time. :( Check out the link if you're interested in what it is.... It reminds me of the Mirror Lab... Mirror people, you will know why.

So I have been home for basically a week, now. I got in on Monday at 8.30p, and then the next day I went to work 8am... I know. I'm crazy...
Even though I'm home now, I still have a bunch to write... So, here it goes:

Blarney Castle. A very pretty castle, indeed. But there is only one real reason why I wanted to visit... and you will find out more soon...

I forget what this is called, but it's a rock... shaped like a witches head... It was next to the witches kitchen/Druids cave...!

These steps are MAGICAL. If you go up the steps, and then down again (backwards) with your eyes closed, the wish that you were thinking will come true... I'll let you know when mine does...

Mom and her red tree...

Blarney House. We were too late to go inside :(

THIS is why we went to Blarney Castle... to kiss the Blarney Stone. I now have the gift of eloquence. (just maybe not spelling...!) Even Winston Churchill has kissed the Blarney Stone!

Me. In yet another tree... I'm always climbing trees. I think my Mom has a bajillion pictures of me in trees

The End
